New Information Teased Re: Winston’s Moon Colony

by - 7 years ago

Somewhat unexpected for a holiday, Blizzard has decided to hit the ground running with an in-universe blog about the fate of the Horizon Lunar Colony, which we know is the place where Winston (the gorilla scientist) came from after being raised by Winston (the human scientist we met in the flashback sequences from Recall.

It is HIGHLY likely that this is referencing a new map, and possibly a new hero, though right now details are sketchy. As it stands, most of the information in this particular post is more reminiscent of Blizzard’s Project Blackstone transmedia campaign from the release of Heart of the Swarm. Specifically, aside from a map of the Horizon Colony itself, what we have are a series of messages from the various human scientists on the colony communicating about some recent issues with their specimens, ending on a chilling note involving an airlock. We’re certain to get more information about this in the coming days.

Check out the blog entry below, and we’ll have some analysis about this coming soon once Crow recovers from holiday grill dinners.

NEW DETAILS EMERGE ABOUT POSSIBLE FATE OF HORIZON LUNAR COLONY

atlasWeb_hdr900.pngFor the first time in years after Horizon Lunar Colony went offline, new information has been revealed as to the fate of the program.

At a press conference today, Lucheng Interstellar revealed the surprising fact that the colony’s databases and monitoring systems are still up and running this day. While no direct communication has been established with the facility, the company has successfully retrieved interpersonnel logs sent days and moments before the base lost contact with earth. Below are some of the transmissions Lucheng shared.

BREAKING UPDATE:

Lucheng Interstellar has released its first image of the colony’s still-operating integrated monitoring systems. A Lucheng spokesperson told Atlas News the connection is unstable, but the company is working around the clock to gather new information.
