You know what they say: The world could always use more heroes! On The Payload, your hosts Jimmy, John, and Kevin will look at all things Overwatch: News, Esports, gameplay, and more. Join the boys every Thursday for the live stream, or download our audio episodes Fridays!

John is missing this week but we have Jimmy and Kevin to cover this weeks news in Overwatch and it is a doozy!! Ana got announced as the new support hero coming to the game and we go over her toolkit, a warning against hoarding loot boxes before she’s released on live and a new comic showing a bit of her backstory!

The PTR is live with Ana and some serious changes to the game. We look at the changes to competitive including a change to one hero limit, shorter Overtime fuses and an increase in spawn timers when Overtime is occurring. We break down who the winners and losers of the patch are and it looks like D.Va and Zenyatta are getting some serious love in this next patch. Kaplan and crew hopped onto Ster’s stream and we recap what was discussed in a mini Q&A. PS4 competitive players ran into a bug with their progress that has been resolved, and skill rating changes do not recalculate for leavers anymore.

We close out the show with Meta Report #18, and check in to see who the winners and losers are of the one hero limit in Esports competition. We also take a quick look into the top and bottom of the rankings for competitive on Master Overwatch.
