The Payload Ep. 26: Mastering Mobility

by - 8 years ago

You know what they say: The world could always use more heroes! On The Payload, your hosts Jimmy, John, and Kevin will look at all things Overwatch: News, Esports, gameplay, and more. Join the boys every Thursday for the live stream, or download our audio episodes Fridays!

In episode 26, there’s a lot to talk about! First, there’s a new $15,000 tournament happening in June! Operation Breakout (presented by ONOG & VGVN) will be the biggest Overwatch tournament to date and include the biggest names in competitive Overwatch so far.

CaptainPlanet of PlanetOverwatch.com continues to bring Hero meta reports to the community! This week, Kevin & John dive in deep to the meta as tournament organizers begin to test one hero limit, no two capture point maps, and true stopwatch scoring. Also in the news, using MasterOverwatch’s stat tracking tools, PCGamer has found that Lucio is one of the strongest characters in Overwatch. John & Kevin discuss why.

Lastly, mobility is an interesting prospect in Overwatch and the guys try to put their finger on what value mobility really brings to the game as well as how we can go about evaluating it in our special strategy segments – Mastering Mobility.
