In game they like to make use of flyers, posters and Art to let the story shine. They said there are all sorts of easter eggs forshadowing future characters. D.Va was in the arcade. There was a Roadhog wanted flyer. They said keep an eye out in the new level there could be even more.

Graphic Novels:

They already have plans to tell the story of the first Overwatch strike force. Some notable characters are highlighted. Morrison one of the leaders who will become Soldier: 76. Reves a more lone wolf operative who somehow becomes the mysterious Reaper. Widowmaker when she was still Amélie Lacroix. We also will be seeing Torbjörn and Reinhardt.

They also have plans for comic shorts. Including ones for the Junkers.

Animated Shorts: They have made it clear they love how everyone reacted to the first animated short.  They have great plans for future ones. They even give us a taste of what they are working on.
