Zenyatta

“True self is without form.”

Zenyatta is an omnic monk who wanders the world in search of spiritual enlightenment. It is said that those who cross his path are never the same again.

Years ago, following the Omnic Crisis, a group of outcast omnic robots experienced what they described as a spiritual awakening. They abandoned their preprogrammed lives to establish a communal monastery deep in the Himalayas. After many years of meditation on the nature of existence, they came to the belief that they were more than artificial intelligences and that, like humans, they possessed the essence of a soul.

Recognizing the spiritual equality they held with humans, the monks, led by the enigmatic robot known as Tekhartha Mondatta, sought to heal the wounds caused by the Omnic Crisis a generation earlier and bring humans and robots back into societal harmony. Their message was embraced by millions around the world, and they became global celebrities.

But one monk, Zenyatta, disagreed with this new direction. He believed that the way to repair the problems between humans and omnics was not through dogmatic teaching but through interpersonal connection and engagement.

Ultimately, Zenyatta followed his own path. He chose to leave the monastery and wander the world, helping those he meets to overcome their personal struggles and find inner peace. But, when necessary, he will fight to protect the innocent, be they omnic or human.

Orb of Destruction:

Damage: 115 dps
Shots per Second: 46 <B>Damage per shot: 2.5
Range: 8 meters
Clip: 20

What kind of monk would be complete without, the patent element infused ball of destruction.  Being a robot you of course most identify with electricity.  The orbs can be used in a variety of situations.  With limited charges, you can choose to fire one after the other whittling down the enemy.  You could also make a massive show of power, and overload the enemy by launching them all at once for massive finishing move. Once used you will have to wait for them to recharge.

Orb of Harmony:

Healing: 30 health per second

Ever felt you had a guardian angel looking over your shoulder? With Zenyatta you will have just that, if angels where robotic orbs that mysteriously follow you around healing you. So long as Zenyatta lives he can maintain one Orb that will follow a single ally, to stream energy into there wounds.

Orb of Discord:

Damage increased by: 30%

Duration: 3 seconds once out of line of sight

Zenyatta is the master of distraction. The Orb of Discord will follow an enemy around, as long as Zenyatta stays online. This buzzing annoying orb will prevent an enemy from defending themselves properly, amplifying the damage the enemy takes. Talk about a wicked curveball.

Transcendence:

Healing: 300 life per second
Healing Range: 10 meters
Duration: 6 seconds

Zenyatta’s ultimate ability is very enlightening. Zenyatta’s years of study and practiced has allowed him to push his self-repair units beyond a mere robots. He can enter a trance state where pain circuits no longer function, repairing even critical errors. Even close allies have claimed to feel the recuperative powers of this hard state.  As they watch awestruck, they realize there wounds are healing just by being by his side.
