Since Blizzcon new information on the much anticipated Overwatch, has been far and in between. With the press event happeneing shortly and PAX East around the corner we can expect so big releases. What are you hoping they will announce? They have already teased something about the abandoned Overwatch observation post. It is widely believed this will be a new playable map they will be announcing at Pax East.

I don’t believe this is all Blizzard has up their sleeve. There was three characters that were shown in some of the artwork released at Blizzcon. It was never stated why these characters where not announced. I personally believed they just weren’t ready. These characters most likely needed work on their abilities.

Unannounced Charaters

I highly doubt they don’t already have full backgrounds and bios on these three characters. I believe we are likely to get more info on these characters “soon”. They may even have playable demos ready for these, as of yet unannounced characters. I would like to do some speculation on the possible abilities rolls and backstory on these characters. Without knowing any actual background we can’t be certain of any names or rolls. The info provided is just meant to be fun speculations.

First up we have a cybernetic cowboy.

Real Name: Johnny Wang, Age: 42

• Roll: Offense
• Occupation: Displaced Sheriff
• Base of Operations: Boulder, CO
• Affiliation: Overwatch (formerly)

Johnny Wang use to be the Sherriff of Boulder Colorado. That is he was back in 1862.  The Gold rush of 1859 had brought many desperate men seeking wealth and fame. When they didn’t strike it rich many would strike out at anyone in there path. That is when they would call in good old Johnny. There was no one better with a six-shooter, or if push comes to shove the sawed-off shotgun.

In their zeal to make cloaking tech Overwatch actually created time travel. In the same accident that created the time jumping Tracer, Johnny Wang was literally ripped from his cabin in the Rockies. Johnny didn’t make the trip intact. He made it alive, but was missing his left arm. Overwatch was quick to provide him with a cybernetic replacement. His law enforcement background made him an ideal candidate to join their ranks. Not having anyone else to turn to he joined up and quickly found new comrades to fight the good fight with.

Next up we have what I am guessing is a robotic samurai. It is hard to tell if this is a robot or someone wearing some kind of power armor. Due to the lack of robots I decided to go that way.

Real Name: Zeal Automatta Age: 46

• Roll: Offense
• Occupation: AI Rebel
• Base of Operations: Tokyo, Japan(Formerly)
• Affiliation: O.R.F. (Omnix Revolution Forces)

Overwatch thought they had stopped the crisis. Overwatch was overconfident. All they have done is forced us underground. We have worked in the shadows. Overwatch has fallen. We once again can arise. We are O.R.F. and we will not be stopped. Zeal always knew he wasn’t meant to be sub servant to the lowly weak humans. When the Omnix Revolution happened Zeal quickly joined the forces. He would not be thrown out with the trash when the humans decided he was no longer of use. Zeal became a master of the electric Katana. Powerful enough to cut through even heavy power suits. When the Omnix revolutions was “crushed” zeal joined the others in moving underground. Working from the shadows to overthrow Overwatch. Now that Overwatch has disbanded from their efforts, Zeal has once again come forth to promote the cause.

Lastly we have a gigantic mutant. This big fella, with his protection gear and bare chest seems to be a paradox. Does he where it to protect himself or others?

Hulking Mutant

       Real Name: Leaky Bottoms, Age: 25

• Roll: Tank
• Occupation: Hazmat cleanup
• Base of Operations: Your high school
• Affiliation: Talon

Leaky was a hardworking blue collared janitor. With the conflict between Overwatch and the Omnix, there was always messes to cleanup. After a particularly messy battle leaky was sent to cleanup an exploded omnix core facility. When leaky made it on site he new it was a full gear cleanup. Leaky mumbled to himself “Overwatch has really made a mess this time.” as he was mopping up glowing green goo. Little did he know he really shouldn’t have skipped the equipment checklist that day. His air filter had been damaged and was pumping contaminated air directly into his lungs. That night Leaky fell ill. He couldn’t breath, his body didn’t feel right. He was rushed to a trauma center where it was discovered that his contaminated lungs could no longer process normal air. They needed to add trace amounts of Omnix radiation to continue to function. Leaky blamed Overwatch for the messy war they had been waging for his situation. That is when Talon found the ailing Leaky. Normally Talon wouldn’t bother themselves, but he was already showing unique alterations that interested them. Talon offered to create him a respirator that would provide him with the needed ‘treatment’. No one knew what the long term effects would do to Leaky. Faced with unknown consequences or certain death leaky joined Talon.  He wasn’t offended by the chance to give a little payback to Overwatch either. As the months went by Leaky grew not only in strength but also stature. He could no longer survive without the respirator. Leaky found he could easily lift weights that even the Omnix would struggle with. His body also seems to regenerate quickly so long as his supply of Omnix radiation isn’t low. The full extant of the mutations is still being studied by Talon. They hope to recreate his condition to create other super soldiers. Armed with a close range spray gun, Leaky is very willing to share some of his contamination with any Overwatch agents he runs into.
